Ein gelungenes Buch. Ibtisam Barakat erzählt in diesem Buch ihre Kindheit und Schulzeit in Ramallah, Palästina, nach der israelischen Besatzung 1967. Sie erzählt in einer Wunderbare weiße das Alltagsleben und was Bedeutung unter militärischen Besatzung zu leben. Aber auch das Leben in einer konservativen Gesellschaft für ein Mädchen wird in diesem Buch deutlich. Barakat zeigt auch, wie kann ein Mädchen durch einfache Entscheidungen ihre Weg durchsetzen. das Buch ich nur zu empfehlen und ist eine Wunderbare Weihnachtsgeschenk.
